The latest offering from Temple Hedz- ‘Inferno’ is a recapture and reinvention of Paul’s early material. This track contains a stark message to humanity about our treatment of the natural world and how it’s burning. The track begins with a techno acid synth loop that is then embraced by a thumbing rhythm that drives the track into its domain. It’s gritty, pulsating and has an undertone of dark ambience buried into its core. Whilst the rhythm section is consistent throughout, the melody shines through into the chorus with a few one liner expressing ‘Our House is on Fire’ echoed by Greta Thunberg and a first vocal appearance by poet and lyricist Cait Sidhe. This repeats again later in the track and slides into a funkier section towards to end. The track finishes how it starts, dropping to an acid synth loop that swirls away capturing the last dirty gritty sounds of that fat synth we were introduced to at the beginning. This is the first track released by Temple Hedz since 2021.
